The Oak Bay Business Improvement Association (Oak Bay BIA) is comprised of over 100 member businesses located on Hampshire Road, Theatre Lane, Wilmot Place, and Oak Bay Avenue from Monterey Avenue to Foul Bay Road [See map]. Primarily small businesses, members represent retail, service and professional sectors. The BIA is goverened by a Board of 10 Directors. Officers elected by the Board manage the day-to-day operations of the Association.
The Oak Bay BIA has a mandate to strengthen business and community in and around the Oak Bay Village. This is achieved through:
- • the organization and promotion of BIA events including the Oak Bay Christmas Festival, Trick or Treat in the Village and Summer Swing on the Avenue
• sponsoring community initiatives including BlockWatch, Tour de Rock and the Jaguar Car Show
• cooperative advertising, and more!
