There are many reasons to participate in the Oak Bay Business Improvement Association...

"The reasons why I belong to the B.I.A are to contribute towards keeping our community vibrant, and to become involved with promoting the village on a larger scale than I could achieve on my own. It's also a chance to get to know people who are involved in the community."

" The revenue collected by the Business Improvement Association gives us the resources to make the entire neighbourhood sparkle at Christmas, to create a beautiful street environment with colouful banners and to attract customers to our Village with special events. As a group we accomplish so much more than we ever could as individual businesses."

"Being a part of the Oak Bay BIA has been really great for me and my business. It has given me an opportunity to meet a lot of fantastic people from the businesses in my area and has been very useful in promoting my store Amazing Balloons."

"Even though Dig This is not technically in Oak Bay - we're located right 'across the border' in Victoria - I have found it extremely worthwhile to belong to the Oak Bay BIA. To begin with, it's great to be able to be a part of the terrific events the BIA sponsors: for example, the Christmas festival, the Victoria Marathon, and the new Easter celebration.
Secondly, I find it worth my money to be part of the group advertising done by BIA businesses profiling the Oak Bay Village. The links to Tourism Oak Bay are also paying off in terms of increased visitor traffic in my store. Finally, there's an energy in the Village that's drawing people from around the region. Anything that draws people past my store is worthwhile to me."
